Jean Louis and Mireille have returned home. My condolences to anyone who were friends with them.

I'd like to reassure everyone, however, that this will not impede any progress. We are more than capable of rising above such dark times, even without their guiding hands- I have utter faith in that.

[Another pause- as if he wants to say anything else- but he switches the PCD off.]

I am willing to take Jean Louis' responsibilities in addition to my own. If anyone has questions or concerns, please refer back to me.

Beka Cooper is also missing, but I have retrieved some of the maps she managed to make. We will have to reorganize a little to allow for her absence.

We cannot let these disappearances weaken us, no matter how they may hurt.

All of that was when I first started working, Mandrake-san. I've improved after seventy years.

Side-effect? Or something like that, because of my job position. This body doesn't age like a normal human body, heals a lot faster, and can take a lot of damage.

Yes, shikigami- it's a being that I can summon to aide me in battle when I'm sent out on a job and encounter somethin I can't fight with ofuda magic alone. They used to be gods, well still are really, but people stopped believing in them and praying to them.

They're still really powerful, they just live in a seperate dimension from Earth that only a guardian to one of the doors can access and allow others into that world.
